Thank you to all that responded to our survey in June. We have designed the day with your requests and preferences in mind, with classes for players, teachers, and for parents.
We have kept the ethos of the day to ensure that every double reeder is welcome. Ticket prices have been reduced for every attendee.
Masterclasses on solo pieces
Ensemble workshops in small groups, playing alongside tutors
Workshops on performance confidence
Free classes on emergency quick fixes for instrument repair and reeds designed for parents
Pedagogy discussion sessions for teachers
Alison Teale, Dan Jemison, Gordon Hunt, Helen Storey, Richard Ion, Steven Hudson, Fraser MacAulay, Bob Porter, Rachel Broadbent, Rosie Cow, Rebecca Wood, Adrian Rowlands and Stuart Russell.
Guest tutors include Michal Rogalski and others to be confirmed.
Everybody can play in the newly commissioned work for massed double reeds by award-winning composer Peter McGarr.
To ensure you feel confident on the day, all ensemble music will be sent to participants before the day, so you can come feeling prepared and ready to enjoy the occasion.
Chat to retailers, buy equipment, try out instruments in the testing rooms:
